Information about COVID-19, including its etiopathogenesis, prognostic factors for mortality, major complications and treatment; It is updated at all times with the publication of new results; This is why scientific journals play a vital role in the development of new action protocols because, fortunately, we learn from mistakes and learning from others is the objective of publishing results obtained in different hospitals.
Although at the beginning of the pandemic, COVID-19 was investigated mainly by Chinese scientists, in a matter of weeks countries such as Russia, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and the United States joined the studies. In parallel, publications of the results obtained came to light in almost all parts of the world. Shortly after, other countries on the American continent also joined the investigations.
Since the beginning of the SARS-CoV2 pandemic, the editorial committees of all the magazines in the world, without excluding Cuba, decided to prioritize articles related to COVID-19. In this way, the medical scientific community can update itself with the shared experiences of other centers on a daily basis and thus improve patient management protocols to achieve the objective that every health system in this circumstance aims for: reducing mortality and sequelae in patients affected by COVID-19.
