Abstract

Research activity is not alien to the individual. Research in Medicine is born as a product of dissatisfaction with the available knowledge and is integrated into a reflective process that stimulates the constant questioning of phenomena.

The practical needs in society and the progress of science and technology are related to the solution of problems, which express the demands of developing scientific knowledge.

Student scientific research is an important element in the training of health professionals, an aspect reflected in the curricula of the different careers of Cuban medical sciences; in addition to constituting one of the three pillars in contemporary university education, along with teaching and care work.
