Abstract

Natural and Traditional Medicine (NTM) has accompanied humanity since ancient times. It has been closely linked to history in its struggle for survival and human development. The use of natural resources as a treatment for various diseases has precedents in almost every known culture. This has demonstrated the value of this often undervalued specialty.

The most recent pandemic humanity has faced was identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and is known as coronavirus-2019 or COVID-19. The situation created by this pandemic has demonstrated how vulnerable humans are and warns us about the damage caused by maintaining inappropriate habits and behaviors.
