Journal Plagiarism Policy

Authors must hold moral rights over the article and declare that it has not been submitted for review or published, partially or entirely, in any other national or international journal. If it has been deposited in a preprint server or presented at a conference, this must be clarified upon submission. The signatories will be solely responsible for ensuring their contribution meets these requirements.
The journal’s editors conduct plagiarism detection using the Turnitin system before initiating the editorial process. Additionally, editors will verify bibliographic references to detect potential plagiarism. If the similarity percentage between texts is high, the editors will contact the authors to clarify the circumstances and reject the work.
If a prior version of an article has been previously published, this must be explicitly stated in the notes. The new version must include substantial novelties and justify its republication. The journal will reject plagiarized articles, informing the authors and their institutions, and will impose regulations on the authors regarding future submissions to this site.
The detection of matches is a process that begins upon receipt of the manuscript and involves all members of the Editorial Board. This ensures compliance with quality standards and the publication of articles with the required transparency and rigor. The author will be notified if the article shows evidence of plagiarism or self-plagiarism, and the publication will be immediately rejected.
The journal adheres to a policy that complies with the recommendations issued by the International Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for resolving ethical conflicts.
Articles are cross-checked to confirm if reproduction exists.
Turnitin, a text-matching tool, is used to prevent plagiarism by comparing research content against published information on the internet, print sources, and databases, including academic works and research from all educational levels.
The submitting author will receive documentary evidence of any matches and will be asked to provide a response.
For published articles where ethical violations are detected, they will not be removed from the platform. A watermark will be applied to PDFs, and a retraction note will be added to HTML and XML formats, placed at the top of the published document. HolCien will not publish another article from the authors involved in plagiarism.
