Abstract

Neuroblastoma is one of the most common malignant solid tumors in children. Cases with initial symptoms of orbital involvement are rare. The clinical case of an 8-month female infant, who was diagnosed with a stage 4S left adrenal neuroblastoma, bone and liver metastases, was presented; with a chemotherapy cycle, there was evident tomographic improvement and significant reduction in the size of the lesion. After surgery, a chemotherapy cycle was administered according to protocol, and radiant treatment was evaluated at the National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology. Clustering various types of cancer according to a similar pathology, histology, or molecular biology can enrich cancer research efforts by increasing the volume of data for analysis and providing information for other types of cancer. This constitutes an important axis for the study of neuroblastoma.
