Abstract

Infantile hepatic hemangioendothelioma is a rare condition, characterized by the development of one or more neoplasms of vascular origin in the liver. These neoplasms are generally benign, although they have an intermediate potential to develop into malignant tumors. In the following case, we present a 2-month-old female infant, of mixed race, with a previous health history, of urban origin, born at 40.1 weeks of gestation without apparent complications. Once at the emergency department, due to the development of typical symptoms for the disease and the performance of imaging studies, the patient is discussed in an interdisciplinary group and it is determined that she suffers from multiple hepatic hemangioendotheliomas.
